Default Biggest Tire Size?

Ok, I have a stock '98 4X4. I've heard that the largest tires you can run without a lift are 32s. It looks to me like I could run 33X12.50X15s with out any real problems. Maybe a slight rub now and then. Has anyone tried this?

I am running some bfgoodies mud terrain 32x11.5x15 and they rub when making hard turns up front, I've also ruined my plastic wheel wells they are all worn down and now mud and all the road dirt is on my engine. I would not attempt to put 33's on a stock ride, unless you just go straight. My tires also rub in the rear during some good articulation when off roading. If you want 33's you will need to get the tuff country 5.5inch suspension lift or the performance accessories 3inch body lift. The body lift you can find for just around 200 bucks. Ofcourse if you try and put it on yourself make sure you have a welder and are comfortable cutting your fuel lines, I just found all this out myself.

I'm running BFG All Terrains - 265/70 R16 - Not sure what that calculates out to...but without a lift I can't imagine you can go much bigger than this. If there's a pretty good dip in the road they rub and they used to rub on hard turns (mostly when parking)...they don't anymore and I'm guessing it's cause the plastic is just worn down. They look great...and I would probably run this size again...but I wouldn't do any bigger without a lift.

That's around a 30.5 inch x 10.5.
