Not sure how many of you are keeping tabs on my possible seat recovering project, but I have one more step in the process, and my mind and imaginationmaybe getting bigger than my debit card but here goes anyway. A few questions

1. Has anyone tried or heard of trying retrofitting 2004-2007Durango Front Bucket Seats into a 2003? Are the tracks and boltpatterns, layoutthe same? The reason I am looking into 04 models is the adjustable head rests.


2.Along the same lines, has anyone tried or known anyone to triedretrofitting a powerseat assembly into the passengers side, obviously a wiring harness will be involved, I understand that. What I am looking for is to get power seats into both front seat assemblies.

Stay with me, here is my thought process.

Purchase some 04 or later Front seat assemblies, condition will not be critical since they will be getting re-covered, and cloth will probably be cheaper. Power cloth seats would be preferred, and of course the actuator/motor and wiring harness for the passengers seat, will be part of the purchase, and the lumbar support for both sides.

Get a recovering kit (Leather) with the seat heaters.

Find a local dealer for the project and while I am at it, hopefully get some more foam padding and I should be in business for winter.

Any thoughts?
