I have a 2000 Dodge Durango. would not start yesterday and notice the batt cables were croaed, cleaned them and jumped it and it started .. today it would not start so i jumped it and it started but it willnot idle when i take my foot off the gas.....

 

try cleaning(or replacing) the IAC unti on the throttle body, or your battery might be going bad,

if you can ease off the throttle slowly and it will stay running than its most likely the IAC otherwise change your battery mine did the same thing when the battery went on it

 

It's the connection.

Load test the battery and replaceif it is bad. Also replace or fully clean all connections.
