great
i got the 1-5/8'' bushings with brackets. but my driver side bracket is already getting tweaked due the the mounting points with my lift kit. i need some lock washers and thread locker too just to be on the safe side.

the new sway bar bushings and brackets were a piece of cake , gott'em all lubed up and everything went great!
one week later:"POP!!!!" driver side bracket snapped in half! only thing i can think it that its bent, the lift has ruined it, or i just need to make my own brackets out of some thick steel.

Looking at them they don't look as tough. I'm thinking of the same thing. A good steel would be better. I think the problem you are having is because of the body roll because of the lift. I don't think OEM'ers would have a problem.

Let me ask this;

Did the mount break where the steel was drilled for the grease fitting or some where else?

Yea,

Just crapy steel. What about a block installed to get the pressure off. In other words and extention between the two? Or did you do that already?

You installed a lift. The lift requires a lengthened sway bar for body roll. If there is no extention then you put excess pressure on the bushings.

If you install a type of extention then this should lower that presure. The higher the lift the more body roll and the more you have to control it.
