I'm planning on buying a Durango soon. I'm thinking of a 2002 or 2003 because of the availability of the five speed auto tranny. Where can I get a VIN breakdown so I can spot things like this tranny instead of taking somebodys word what the model has. The VIN tells alot about the vehicle. Any help is appreciated. Herb

 

I am a fan of the 98's, haven't had many problems with mine. I believe there have been more recalls for the 2000 and up models too.

 

I love my '99, just general maintenance, no major problems. My friends 2000 was recalled. I cannot remember for what though.
