Hi everone,
Sorry to break up the party. I have an issue that started out being a interesting issue but now is a pain in the butt. First I noticed a rattle comming from underneath the car that sounds alot l i kea throwout bearing but the problem is I have an automatic. I also have a bad hesitation from a dead stop until about 1200 rpm. I decided to take it to a mechanic and he told me that he thinks its because of all the oil Im sucking up due to the plenum pan gasket being bad. So I got motivated and bought a new intake made by Mopar. W h i leI waited for the manifold to come in I sent the heads to be reworked and cleaned the throttle body out twice due to the amount of carbon/oil buildup. Also w h i lewaiting I changed the fuel pump for the fun of it. After the manifold came in and I reassembled everything and started her up the noise was still there but the hesitation was less. So I was wondering if a oil/carbon soaked O2 sensor can cause a rattling sound? especially with all the burnt up oil that was probably flowing through those pipes. I also forgot to mention that the cat is good and the manifold pressure is also good. I also took it to a muffler shop and got a cat back system manufactured by pypes. Any suggestions would be helpful. Im about at wits end. Thank you much.
