AC Compressor runs on all settings
I have a 99 D, 318, rear air
Does anyone know what could cause the AC compressor to run all the time. The clutch is engauged on it weather the system is on heat, defrost,or if the ac is off. I do have a slow leak (low side fill point)and i put a can of freon a month in it. Cheaper than paying$600 for new lines. Any ideas...

Could be a burned out cluch or the switch on the dash. Check it you have voltage going to the cluch to see if it is engaging it. If so replace the switch and if not maybe the cluch.
