Radio Replacement
Hi, I want to replace the radio in my 2000 Durango with a Jensen CM9521. This is a din and a half radio but I have been told I will have to modify the dash to make it fit. Does anyone know how much the dash has to be mod'ed or if there is another cd/cassette combo radio that will fit better. Thanks for the Info.

Check out www.crutchfield.com they have just about every radio possible, plus accessories to install them in just about anything. With you radio that you want to intall, you might just have to buy a spacer that takes up the extra room around the head unit. Not hard and you don't have to do any modification to your dash.
First off, please do yourself a favor and spend a lil more money and DO NOT buy a Jensen. We have had so many problems with those coming back to the shop it is more annoying than anything. Pioneer would be my first choice. Also- all you need is the dash kit for your truck ($25-30), wire harness ($12), and the antenna adapter ($15). No modification needed. As long as you can use a srewdriver you will be ok. Good luck.
Finally got my Jensen CM 9521. It is the only combo CD/Cassette din and a half unit we could find. It fit great with the supplied brackets and required no dash modification. It was about a thirty minute install.
