I think it's possessed!!!! PLEASE HELP!
Just recently purchased my 01 Dodge Durango Sport. About a week ago the horn started blowing on it own while the engine was on or off. Gradually it has gotten worse along with flashing interior lights, headlights flashing, windshield wipers coming on for just a sec. I have been doing a ton of reading on here and think that it may be the Central timing module. Any other opinions? Also if it is this module; can it be replaced with a used part? Does it have to be reprogrammed at the dealership? or is this only if I want the remote keyless entry to work?
Please help, I am getting a load of crap from my husband and dad because I bought a "Dodge" in the first place!!!!!

EG5050:
+2 on the CTM.
Had mine done back in June IIRC. The bill was $475 for me, and the CTM alone was $275.
The most recent failure I read about said their dealer hit them for $520.
Once you get it done, things should be back to normal.
BTW, service intervals for the Gen 1 Ds like we have are:
Transmission, transfer case, and both axles need fresh fluids every 30k.
Make sure that nothing but OEM ATF+4 goes into the tranny and T case.
Cooling system should be flushed, and new antifreeze put back in every 3 years or 35-40k.
Plugs should be done every 35-40k unless you go back in with some long life platinum type. Also beware that our Durango engines don't care for some brands of platinum plugs.
