Default 2000 Durango blower

All,
Experiencing problems with my 2000 Durango front blower. It works intermittently, but works at all speeds. If I tap the blower motor location it blows fine. I have checked the fuses, relays, and changed the blower motor resistor pack. Changing the blower motor seems like a pain in the a@* job. Is there anything else that I should check before I lose it to the dealer repair shop for who knows how long?

Sounds like a loose power connection somewhere or loose ground??

I've been trying to find information on where the resistor is on a 1998 Durango. I've seen the material on the 2001, but it doesn't match the layout on the 1998. If you can help me locate the resistor, I would be very grateful.

I don't know, but it may be possible the 98 models do not use resistor packs for the blower motor?? I cannot confirm that.
