I have some valid questions... what kind of spark plugs and wires do you have on there? Also like Hydra said what about the cap and rotor button? How often do you change these parts? Your ignition coil could be going out and cause the not starting problem as well the wires and plugs. I had that exact prob with my old fac coil. Check your cat to see if it is bad. Some say shake it or beat it with a hammer, listen for rattling sounds. Hydra once said to have it tested for back pressure at a muffler shop.

I am using colder plugs than what’s recommended by the manufacturer, as a mechanic told me that due to the supercharger I needed to run colder plugs and they are autolites, I just installed those 2 weeks ago with brand new bosch wires. Cap and rotor where replaced about 2 months ago. As for the cat I shook it and I hear no noise. I have checked for leaks and checked for cracked hoses but those seem to be fine. I took it to the muffler shop and he said he couldn’t test it just replace it for $250 and that if I got the 420 code I should go ahead and replace it.

Okay lets see let me describe the symptoms and the codes that I get. I get the 1494, 420 and the 442. Also my D is stalling a various speed with no warning; it usually takes between 15 to 30 minutes to start back. Lately when the D stalls I go and try to restart it and it does but with the rpm really low then it stalls, and what seems to be the exhaust smoke comes out of the intake filter. When that happens I go ahead and restart it and it turns back on with no problem. This is very annoying and a lot of work especially when I have to push the D out of an intersection and these things are heavy

Okay well i cleared the codes again. I want to see which ones I get a second time so i can replace them and i got the 1494 so i will be replacing the LDP on tuesday. Know the wierdest thing happend twice the D stalled which thats normal by now but when i went to restart it it started back up but with a really low RPM and i could here a type of knocking sound then the D turned off by itself and what seems to be the exhaust smoke came out of the intake filter? would a clogged cat do this?
Wait a moment on the PCM we have people that may have an opinion on what this could be. hope fully they will start posting o great moderators can you shine some light on this problem...
Did you ever get the spark plug diagram? that sounds like a good reason to hear any knocking sound Is the "D" smoking out the exhaust as well?

I really hope so I dont want to spend money in the PCM then to find out it was something different. Any help will be appreciated. Okay. after a couple of days of changing the catalytic converter the D doesn’t sound the same before I would start it and it would sound great when turning it on like if I had a supped up motor now it sounds really weak sounds like if the exhaust was clogged up. Can the CAT be gone again? I have a flow master exhaust so I don’t see why it sounds like that. The D has no power I floor it and the supercharger sounds like its working too hard but the D doesn’t run. It keeps stalling sometimes it stall right after start it. Yeah I was able to get the diagram and everything seems to be working fine. Just too topped it off someone hit my D while it was parked and knocked my fog lights out of my brush guard and pushed that back so know I cant open the hood cause the brushed guard it pushed back I wish I knew who it was damn I have bad luck with this vehicle

the cat should not be bad after a couple of days.

Yeah ill be doing that today. I dont think so they should all be tied up in the air away from the engine. Would that be a problem?

the wires touching the engine will ground, thus burning the wires. buy a spark plug wire tester and you will see what I mean. the spots that touch the engine will look burnt. those are the spots to test. the symptoms are misfires, not starting, and back fire. you know that the wires have a positive voltage source in them when the car is on, well the engine is the ground. that's how they make a spark in the combustion chamber.

Just a shot in the dark, have you checked the fuel pressure to make sure it may not be a weak fuel pump or clog fuel filter?
