Angry engine miss

Well here i am again with another problem. I own a 2000 durango 5.9l The engine has a terrible miss while driving. There is no check engine light. It is worse in the mornings but still misses when hot. It almost feels like the tranny is slipping. The tranny has been rebuilt last year and i took it back about a week ago and they told me it's not the trans but an engine miss.. Ive done a complete tune up plugs wires cap and rotor i replaced the cam position sensor the tps and the iac. does any one have a clue as to what is going on here.

Hey, sorry to hear about your problem. What brand of plugs did you get and did the cap and rotor have brass contacts? Look in the second dak forums under tips and tricks for how to modify the TPS. you should have set it when you installed it.

HAP:

Get your flashlight, remove the air hat, and open the throttle butterfly. Look down inside. If you see wetness or oil, you have a leaking plenum gasket which will cuase your miss as well as increased oil consumption.

Rule this out before you start throwing parts at it.

The cure is a new gasket which you can DIY for ~$200 or have it done for about $500-700.00
