Default Slipping seats

In my 2003 Durango XLT, both front power seats have a small slip to them. When I hit the brakes both seats will slip forward maybe an inch or so, then if I accelerate quickly enough they will both slip back. Anyone else have this happen?

Is it a slip on the rails from simply not getting it locked into place or a slight akward rock? If the latter... join the club. IF you are stil under warranty, go get it fixed for free. Otherwise, live with it.

FWIW, never heard of a rocking seat on the passengers side.

It's a slip forward or back, not a rock. And they're power seats so I don't think there's anything to lock into place. The mechanism that moves the seats forward and back seems nice and tight, no slippage when it's moving the seats. It's almost as if there's a second rail or mount of some sort that the entire seat is slipping on.

You are correct. My driver's seat recently started doing the same. It was playing mind games with me at first, I thought it was my equilibrium or something when stopping, I feel myself moving just slightly. Now I noticed it is my seat. it will move probably about 1/2 inch or little less. But there is loose motion there that you can definitely feel feedback on when stopping/accelerating. I even tried moving the seat a little forward, a little backward. No help.
