Angry squeaky front end?

Hi guys,

I have a 1999 dodge durango and the driver side of this thing squeaks real bad. When you are driving and braking it squeaks. When you turn the wheel it squeaks. So I went ahead and push down on the front end driver side. When I push down it squeaks and also coming back up it squeaks. What does this sound like to you guys? I thought it was the front shock but am unsure

Most likely it is the sway bar bushings. They are a piece of cake.

You can lower the bars and lube them with some Teflon grease or if they are bad replace them. There are 2 sets. (outer and inner) The outer consists of 2 bolts and the inner I believe is one bolt. You want to lower them without raising the vehicle.

Polyurethane bushings are the best but OEM should work fine. I would do this first before replacing the shocks.

But the squeal only comes from the driver side does that make sense?

Like I said,

This in normal and it is very easy to do with basic tools and maybe 30 min max. Not to mention CHEAP!

Try this first then go to the shocks which depending on driving habits as to which one's you should go for?

I just finished putting in the electric fan and now I can hear all sorts of squeaks and creaks when the fan is not running...My D is really quiet now (except for the front end squeaks..). I think I will follow hydra on this one and replace the bushings and see if that helps. oh yeah, the flowmaster I just picked up should help with that silence issue...

Cool, got ah flowmaster huh...
If option 1 does not work try spraying some white lithium grease on all the control arm bushings. Good luck
