Default 1999 Super Pursuit Durango: EB

Hey Guys, I own a 2001 GTS and would like to tow it in an enclosed trailer. I came across a 1999 Shelby/Super Pursuit Durango on EBAY. Price is awesome, anyone know anything about these trucks, I know the AP Racing Brakes are much $$$$$$, not to mention the other upgrades Thanks.

Hey guys with D's. Came across a Shelby D. on ebay and wanted to know if this was a good deal. Want to tow my GTS with it, would look hot. What was retail in 1999 for these trucks and were any made any other year. Price seems fair.

When looking for durango's i also came across a shelby durango fairly priced. It was in antlanta and i went down test drove it. It was an awesome car but i wanted to do more research. I found out that they were designed by a company called Performanc West out west (obviously). When it came to building the car the contracted it out to Starcoach out of the south that is also the company that makes the Super Pursuit II. In the long run shelby stopped the production because of engine problems. The two companys (PerformancWest-Starcoach) pointed fingers at each other. The durango was not producing the hp it was supposed to so Starcoach switched superchargers from the roots style Kenne-Belle to a centrifical style Procharger. This all was no big deal to me but when i talked to a mechanic in atlanta that i was going to have look at the car he told me that he had just replaced an engine with the procharger on it the had blown. And being my first car and the guy pressuring me into the deal i turned it down. With the supercharger you can control the amount of boost. The higher the boost the greater strain on the engine and vice versa so the engine blowing could be the owners fault. I am a little late on this topic but just wanted to let you know. It is a really cool car and it is a shame that it was cut short. Let me know what you did and if you got it some pics would be nice. And like you said the Super Pursuit is the same exact thing as the Shelby down to the body kit and exhaust and the stripes. Here is starcoach website i dont beleive it is their official just some info. http://www.yearone.com/enthusiast/ar...starcoach.html
