Since the Pinion was shot you should replace the ring gear as well.

If I had the $2500 dodge wanted to do this they would have my wife's truck instead of me. The pinion gear is good condition. Its the bearings that went out. The inner was in pretty bad condition. The outer was gone. Going to replace the pinion bearings, seal and crush sleeve. I will also replace the Rt and Lt diff bearings and the axle bearings and seals as well as the rear breaks while I'm at it. I looked inside the diff and notice that the clutch retaining clips appear to be in two pieces, on both sides. So I'll take a better look at that tomorrow. Thanks again for the download, it helps a lot. I've replaced upper and lower ball joints, both wheel bearing hubs, water pump twice, Heater core and ac condenser. This is going to be learn as I go. Step by step, measurement by measurement. Any ideas or guidance will be greatly appreciated as this is a first for me.

Sounds like you're doing great just make sure the backlash is right as well as the preload.
