1998 Durango 5.9L 4x4 w/46re transmission. I have not found a way to manually select and retain 3rd gear for towing. The only way I can get it is to turn OD off to force it into 4th gear. Then turn OD back on again which puts it into 3rd until the tranny decides it doesn't need it anymore. I would like to be able to select and hold 3rd the same as I can do with 2nd. Any suggestions?
