Hi, I'm new to the forums as you can tell...but im looking into a 1998 Durango with 99,xxx miles auto 5.2l V8 4x4 fully loaded for 1800 now my question is why is it so cheap? can someone on here run a vin check for me? (1B4HS28YXWF176222) I wanna make sure this vehicle is safe for me and my pregnant fiancia Thanks.

Other than a drivers side left foot crush injuries in a frontal collision it's pretty safe. Check out youtube and type in the year and model +crash test. It handles surprisingly well for it's size and has enough power to get you aaway from trouble and when you need to stop it does decent. I found that slapping ceramic brake pads on really helps with braking as well (as long as you don't plan to tow much).
