Default iPod integration in a 2000 Durango SLT

Hi there. First time poster...

I have a 2000 Durango SLT with the single CD player/tape deck/infinity sound system. I purchased the iPod integration kit found here: http://www.icarkits.com/product_info.php?products_id=47

It clearly states that it is compatible with 2000 Durangos, yet I'm getting a bad feeling about this. I just pulled the stereo looking for the "CD changer" jack to plug this thing into, and there isn't one there. I did a search in these forums and found a reference to the fact that 2000 Durangos did NOT have the changer jack necessary to pull this off.

If anyone out there could clarify this for me, I'd really appreciate it. Am I completely missing something, or is this thing just not compatible? If there is a CD changer port in here someplace, I'd greatly appreciate learning where it is.

Thanks!

The infinity system does not support any kind of external addon's. They to make IPOD FM transmitters so you can tune your IPOD to a fm station and enjoy your music in your Durango.

Thanks for the feedback.

I went to a certified installer for the product I purchased and confirmed that it won't work with my stereo. I'll check out those FM transmitters though. I had one of the early ones and it totally stunk, but I understand the technology is much better these days. Maybe I'll just re-rig the whole stereo. Depends upon how much longer I figure to have this ride. 142,000 miles and still going strong!

Thanks again for the responses.
