Default Interior light/door switch?

I have a 1999 Durango and the last time I drove it the interior lights would not go off. The door ajar light would not go off either. I tried opening and closing all the doors, including the trunk with no luck. I drove it through the neighborhood and it would randomly turn the lights on and off- which leads me to think that it is some sort of faulty door/light switch. Anyone know a way to test this or any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thanks in advance-
Dave

Find the switch that will not open the circuit with the door closed by doing a voltage drop test across each individual switch. This sounds kind of like a CTM issue but definitely test your switches first. CTM's aren't cheap...

Well I went out to look at my D to find the switches since I've never looked for them and it looks like they may be connected inside of the door to the door latch. You will need to pull the door panels in order to get to them or get a wiring diagram for your year D and find the wires that go to the switches at the wiring harness where it enters the door.
