2 Problems with the D
#1
I've had a clunking under the passenger side floorboard for the past week or so. Got under the truck and I snapped my lower mounting bolt for the shock. Bolt snapped flush with insert in the lower mounting arm. The bolt has about an inch sticking out the back side where I could put some vice grips on and hopefully turn it out. Do you think I have a better chance of threading it back out, or continue to tighten it and with it having no head it should pull through?

Posted a topic about my locks not working about 10 days back, got no replies so I'll try again. Locks on the truck will unlock fine but will not lock using the master switch or key fob. When trying to lock I can hear a clicking coming from the glovebox. Any ideas? What I did notice is with it being freezing here in Chicago the locks will never work when I first start the truck. After driving around and the truck warms up they worked fine. This is hit and miss though, some days it works fine, some days after the truck warms up, sometimes not at all.
I've done alot to my D from reading other topics posted here and it's saved me alot of time and money. I don't get to visit as often as a I like but every time I do I learn something new. So any thoughts you guys have would be greatly appreciated - Thanks
