Default re: abs and brake warning on

I changed the rear sensor and both light are still on....a mechanic (a 1500 owner) told me that if just the abs comes on it is nothing major..but if the abs and brake are on its big like wiring or in the abs comp and his did the same and he unpluged the cp and the lights went out he has no abs but he's good with that so ....were is the abs computer located ..under dash or under hood?

The dodge dealer tells me speed sensor has nothing to do with it...I may just change to see if it does help ...do I change both speed sensors on the tranny?
Also had no speedo and p0500 came up but the next time i started the d up it was fine and the abs comes on when driving {brake pulse}
