I have a 2000 Durango 4.7L with 181k. Mine is still running very strong, and I beet the hell out of it. I pull very heavy trailers (5000lbs) on a regular basis, and some occasional off roading on the weekends, and I haven't done anything to it except oil changes, atf changes, waxes, and one set of ball joints. One big thing you need to pay attention to is the engine. The 4.7l 4x4 shares a tranny with newer 5.7L hemi engines, so the 4.7l trannys are very strong. The 318 & 360 (5.2 &5.9) offer more power, but with a less reliable tranny. IMO you can't go wrong with a Durango. They are very solid. If I were to sell my 2000 slt (leather, infinity system...loaded) 4.7L w/ 181k on it, I would ask $3500 obo. I would probably take $3000 cash. Hope this helps. Best wishes with the new purchase.
