Talking dango rooors

i put one of those 50 dollar trush welded mufflers on my 47 d today sounds really good except for the fact its so loud it sounds like its in the truck with me.it also accelerates different from the last after market muffler it lost alittle low end power(doesnt snap my head back when i punch the gas in second ) but she pulls through the top of the gears better. only odd thing is oil pressure is alittle higher. huh? oh well sounds goooooood....

I remember that if you reduce too much backpressure out the exhaust, you will lose some low end torque but gain better hp at the upper rpm band.

Yea, those old Thrush packs are fine for a carbed 73 Camaro, but not a PCM controlled Durango. Good luck with that. If it were me, I would have left on what I had or spent a few bucks on the right thing.

Red face huh....

the d is fine keep in mind its probably closer to stock now ,i had a different after market muffler on before this one it wasn't nearly as loud which means it had more chambers and more back pressure which means more low end torque.........right?
