Just wanted to let everyone know that the more I drive this thing, the more I like it! Had it for 2 weeks now. It has completely waxed my modified Expedition in Drag race.... tonight It waxed a Mustang GT with the 4.6 in it! I took him by over a car length... He was flipping out when we left the light and I left him! Imagine what his buddies are gonna say when he tells them that he got beat By a Durango!!!!! LMAO!!!!!! This thing is friggen awesome!

 

I told ya, I beat 3 mustangs so far. I also told ya that it would beat the Expedition. It is funny when people think that these trucks are slow and when you kick their ***, they all pull up with the same stupid look on their face. I have said that I am going to baby this truck but it is hard at every stop light you just wanna drop the hammer. I need to stop though, just tonight I smashed a Grand Am V6 (seemed like it was heavily modded) but he just stopped a car length behind me when he finally caught up to me at the RED LIGHT! LOL! Thats impressive that a durango could beat a mustang. My durango isnt stock but I doubt it could beat a mustang.

I know I cannot beat a mustang GT, at least the 03-04 models with the 4.6 and 5 speed stick. My buddy has one and we went out for some fun racing and I cannot get him off hte line and down the quarter! This is comparing stock 00 Durango R/T to his stock GT with 5pd. Never played with one that has auto tranny tho.

 

Yeah I have the 5.2l and I usually run Sunoco 94 octane. My dad owns a stock 94 mustang with the 5.0, we were going to race but my trans is going out so I'll wait till I get a rebuild/new tranny.
