Unhappy Daytime running lamp module

Hello all,

I was wondering if any of you know where I can locate the DRL on my 1998 Dodge Durango?

It is part of the headlight switch, is it not? I'll come back with an answer here shortly...

There is a box that appears to be maybe a 2-3" cube inside the engine compartment on the drivers side... Maybe behind the battery and or fuse box? Looks to have one screw holding it to the body and one electrical connection to it... What is your specific problem you are having? Maybe I can help you out...

I got a used DTRL module from a local pic-n-pull off a jeep ZJ . located under the fuse box pass side . I know there is a way to loop back the high beam light and not have DTRL . Best of all it only cost me $2 . I'm sure other dodge models have the same module . Just have to find out where it is .

Never heard of a Durango with the daytime running lights, I think that's a Canada only thing.

Probably just a Canada thing , we are a little more safety conscious . BTW in a Durango the DTRL is located behind
the drivers side headlight in front of battery . With out it you don't have high beam indicator . When I plugged the old one in it made the heater fan motor keep running after shut down . You can do a search and find some web sites that show you how to make a loop to delete the DTRL .

Default DTRL fan runs continously

I see this is an old quote hopefully someone can help my heater fan will run continously with the engine off if i dont turn the switch to the off position. I also noticed i have a solonoid looking item drivers side in front of the battery that is clicking, are these things related and if not does anyone know how to fix the heater fan problem.
