Smile Flasher Relay

Had a Problem With My Flashers .

Located The Flasher Relay under driver side . A Small Green Box .

Played around with it and had the flashers working but always shorts out ..

Works Sometimes and Not sometimes . Sometimes Won"t work at all .

Took The Relay apart . removed it"s green case . Everything looks Good . no Visible damage .

It"s Not blown But no working properly

If anyone knows what it looks like inside ,
it only connects at one side ( small copper like conductor ) it looks like other side is missing ( small copper square ) that normal ?

I fiddled around and put it back in . and can get the flashers working no prob start to drive and it will cut out again and back to nothing. Have to remove relay and fiddle inside and then flashers work no problem .

thoughts? ideas ?

Confusing ???? lol

Replace the relay=Nf Ep 27 is the part number for the relay for a 99 durango and it's 18.00 bucks=if it's not a durango you can look for it on Napa's website...If that doesn't do the trick check the grounds for all the lightsandthe light sockets for corosion on the brake lights and front directionals--I think a new relay should set you straight though.

I was told the replacement relay part was $80 .

What i did was slathered solder all over the 5 prong connectors and jammed it into the socket. So far it works great .

So Far .

Any problems and ill post again.

Hope this helps out someone else with the same problem

Depends on the quality of the flasher. Mine went out slowly and I went to O'reilly's. The Master Pro Ignition brand (Part# 2FL14) was $71.99 and carries a ONE YEAR Warranty. The BWD brand (Part# FC650) was $51.99 and carries a Limited Lifetime Warranty. and the LittleFuse brand (Part# FLR727BP) was $19.99 and carries a Manufacturer's Warranty. FYI, the top two relays are GREEN just like the OEM relay. The LittleFuse is BLACK.
