I found the issue!!!! where the wires enter the Dizzy they had freyed ever so slightly over time arched over time and finally died. From reading wiring diagrams this can feed back and kill the spark circuit within the ECM
I ordered a accell coil from Jegs (direct fit)
Over time the MSD may have been some of the problem.

Now it time to do a few other things Timing set headers etc..

It's the distributor.

I've never refered to it as that but it makes sense. Sounds like you needed a cam shaft sensor.
