I've seen a lot of durangos around and was wondering if they made any that sit a little higher than normal.
This question is asked because I see folks with 305/40/22's appearing more and more every day and they all say " I didn't have to lift it"
In my mind I say BS, So I started this thread in hopes to get a good answer

 

I know 4x4's were higher than 2WD and have seen a few that are 4wd that are lower and some higher than mine... Mine is a 1999 and with fresh BF Goodrich T/A KO's, I had 35" exactly on all 4 corners from ground to middle of wheel arch... After the lift, they are at 37.5" front and 38" back... I have seen a few that are at 33" stock and some at 36" stock... I was measuring when I was looking for Durango's... Never found a correlation between height and year, only between 4x4 and 2WD...

 

yea the only difference that i know of is 4x4 compared to 2wd, 4x4s sit higher than 2wds, with the exception MAYBE of the R/Ts being lower than normal 4x4s

Well I have gone into this before but;

After the truck leaves the dealer people have them aligned and instead of making sure the front end is set at the proper height they would rather crank the camber adjustments and after a little time of settling they end up lower than OEM because of these lazy asses.

Even on OEM they I've seen them come out like this instead of being set at the appropriate settings. Just plain laziness!

Now the 4X4's are taller than the 4X2's and the R/T is at the same height as 4X4 but the R/T has the runners that make it appear lower.

I have NOT seen any other service manual with different set points other that the standard 73 mm.

If you look under the front end on the bumper stops and check the clearance between it and the control arm you will see the difference on many trucks and that should not be like that period.
