Check engine code p0108 High input.. change MAP Sensor?
I have a 98 durango 5.2L 175,000 miles I drive it only like 5 miles a day. Occasionally the check engine light comes on and the car starts to act a little funny. I went and pulled the codes and and it's the p0108 high input code.
First indication is that it's the MAP sensor. Right?... However, I had the map sensor changed about 4 years ago after the check engine light came on when I was coming out of the mountains in Denver (I'm sure it had something to do with the drastic change in altitude) Plus, the problem is so sporadic. It only happens about once a week at random times... When it happens the check engine light comes on, the car won't idle and it dies, and then it usually won't stay started unless I keep on the gas. However, if i let it sit turned off for about 20 minutes then it starts up fine with no problems... Bizarre. Could a map sensor be slowly dying and sometimes not work but other times work fine? What else could it be? I also just changed the PCV valve so it's not that. The check engine light stays on for 5 or so starts and then goes away until it's tripped again and the problem starts all over.

P0108 - Map Sens Voltage Too Hi

I have an 01 Durango. Replaced a bad Fuel Pump and now have this same EXACT issue. Not sure if it’s related to the pump, but thought maybe the pump I got was bad.
the problem is more intense when the gas is below 1/4 tank.
anyone have any ideas?? I can’t imagine my MAP Sensor is bad…
EDIT: I replaced the Spark Plugs and now the issue is wayyyy less frequent but the code still pops and every now and then it still stalls/sputters on me.
