Thumbs down 2000 Dodge Durango Wont Start...

i was driving around 65 when my d just died..towed it in...cranks but wont start,,fuel pump kicks on..tried starting fluid still wont start...getting spark...fan is moving but just wont start..changed crank sensor..still wont start..Plz help...

Possible PCM or timing chain broke.

Default timing chain?

if the timing chain was broken would it fire.???...amd pcm that is the computer right???

Timing chain was broke you would know it when you turned it over and no it would not fire.

Yes the PCM is the computer.. Best to get those online then paying the dealer price if you find this to be the problem. just do a search in this section on PCM and you will find links to reman companies that are half the price of the dealer.

Sorry could not help you more then that, would need to diag it and most people would not have the tools to do so at home.

Compression check would be needed to ensure a broken timing chain because the valves would not open and close or open and close correctly. No it would not fire.

PCM is the computer.

Could be a coil, or other spark related issue as well. If your good with cars then first go for spark, then fuel pressure, then sensors or PCM. If your not that great then off to the stealer for you.

is it a 4.7 ? and what about trouble codes and the engine lights?
