truck has the infamous doors locking constantly and also dome light flashing/gate a jar problem while accelerating. took the truck in for a new ctm 500 bucks later still have the same prob... fought with the *** holes at the service center they they said the ctm was bad either way even though it didnt fix any of my problems. i unpluged everything from the rear gate and the door a jar/ dome lights still flash when i drive. its sooooo annoying. what if i cut the wire right before the ctm that goes to the switch?

Yup, thats what I wold be doing... Filling a complaint wit the better business bureau, asking for the district office number ext... I would not just stop at the word of ignorant service manager who's job is to rip u off in the first place.

 

You have two problems. The locks are easy for the dealer to fix and diag if they would have simply looked. It is TSB 08-023-03. The book provides them less than an hour to repair it, even out of warranty. That means it is a very inexpensive and cheap repair. 4 years after my fix, nada a problem since with it.

I recall hearing about the light issue, but I can't put a finger on it. I'll look. In the meantime, pull the fuse and make that dealer refund your money after the above fix works for your locks.

i thought the ctm is in the passenger side kick panel? i wanna cut the wire but all i see is the infinity amp

 

CTM = drivers side on yours if you see the amp on the pass side.

With that said, what are you messing with the (new) CTM for?

I went to a u pull and got 3 ctm's from various Durango's for $10 each. Easy to swap out.
