Cool Blowing 20amp square brake light fuse under hood

It only happens when I use the remote start. When I step on the brake pedal to shut engine off it wont die. I only use the remote start when it is below 50 degrees, which doesn't happen often in Texas. Any other time I have no problems with the brake lights. What would cause the problem? The brake switch or the remote start module?

Who put in the remote start? Most often when this sort of thing comes up regarding remotes and odd electrical behavior, it is usually found that the remote start has a hack job install.

Remote start needed for below 50 degrees? WTF?! ROTFLMAO. Ridiculous man.

Damn Indy... You do know that below 50 degrees in Texas feels like you are in the arctic, right? I did the same thing in Oklahoma...

The remote start was installed when purchased by the dealer new in 03. as for the comment on it not being cold, my wife and two yr old daughter would strongly disagree with you. When it is cold outside I warm it up for them. Does that make it ridiculous? Maybe, but when I make her happy she keeps me happy.

Your offically whipped!.......LOL

Sounds like the installer didn't disconnect the OEM alarm system and just included it into the system. Take it back to them.
