Hello,

I have a 2002 Dodge Durango SXT and I just ordered a new replacement mirror (including the black housing) for the right side of my truck. I need to replace the mirror because there is some spilled paint that got onto the original black housing, & after trying to clean it off I've noticed that paint thinner etc or goo b gone damages the plastic. I found a good deal on a new mirror for the right side of the truck on Ebay and bought it so I want to install the new mirror.

My question is has anyone replaced the mirror before? How hard is this? I assume I just have to take the paneling off of the front passenger door for the ability to get to the mirror and then install the new one?

Has anyone had any experience with this? Is this something I should be able to do with a phillips screwdriver and a 10mm socket or is this a bigger project than what I'm making it out to be?

Anyone have any good diagrams or step by step solutions on how to install the new mirror?
