Default system in a durango?

hey guys,
im new here trying to find sum info to help my gf out.
so heres the deal, shes got a 2001 durango with the inifinity system, but she decided that she wants a sub, so we found a nice 12" sub and amp to put in, my question is: can this be wired into the stock stereo without changing anything with the stock system, shes not able to get a aftermarket deck.
thanks

Yes you can have it wired to the stock radio, but I don't understand why you wouldn't put in an aftermarket one? I have a 99 Durango with a nice Sony cd player, PPI amp, and two 15 kicker L7's. If your keeping the stock radio, take it to someone that installs systems to save yourself the hassel with the wiring.

the reason this cant have a aftermarket deck is because my gf's rents still own it and will not allow the deck to be changed, plus the$$ is kinda tight.

Thats funny they will let her put in 12' subs but not change the deck but anyways did you guys have to drill holes all over the place to put in your systems? I have 2 12' subs in a box and 2 amps in my garage that I want to put in but i dont feel like putting holes and stuff all over my truck. With my old car I had to put holes in the body for the ground and drill the amps to the seats I dont want to go throught this again one of my friends was telling me to take a pice of ply wood and cover it with a nice materal and put that in the back of my truck and mount everything to that but I wanted to see what my other options were first.
