Just bought and installed these Spiderlite LED replacement lightbulbs for $100 on my Durango.... AMAZING!!!... pics don't them justice. NO mod necessary. Bought them from www.spiderlite.com

Sounds pretty expensive for LED bulbs, what came with the kit?

 

Other replacement LED lightbulbs have all the LEDs concentrated in a small area which gives a hot spot. The Spiderlites have LEDs on the arms (both sides so it uses the reflector as well) and they collapse to install into a standard mounting hole in the taillight . It gives my Durango a truly unique look. As for the price $50/each or $100/pair is not bad... I had the other replacement LED lightbulbs before they were cheaper but they also looked much worse (hot spot/dark background/low intensity)... these pictures don't them justice (btw the pictures show the LED lights color white but they are actually red--- I guess the high intensity shows up as white on digicams).

 

Those look great. Might be worth the elevated cost. Going to keep those in mind for my truck when the time comes. Thanks for posting this. [sm=smiley20.gif]

Gentlemen,

I am just thinking out loud here, so stay with me. I went to the spiderlites webpage, I like the five arm models. Here is my scenario, tell me if you think it might work.

Replace my rear tail lamp housing assemblies witha clear unit. Then replace the individual bulb assemblies with the spider lites.
I am real intrigued with the amber option for the turn signal, I hope that this can be done,I prefer the amber turn signals. I noticed in the forum a 04 model was used for the photo, hopefully the spiderlites can be used on a 03 model.
