Bead lock Pros/Cons
Hey,
Do any of you run after market rims with a bead lock. i will probably at no point be in a situation that i will really need them but i think they look bad ***. are there any pros/cons to getting them. also i was going to get them installed on a powder coated steel cragar rim, the beadlock come just bare but was thinking of getting them powdercoated the same color red that my d is any concerns or problems i should have with that

I recomend getting simulated beedlocks if i was you..
PROS
Air down to *******ly 0 psi for rock crawling
A single person (given a normal sized tire) can mount/remove tire themselves with no machines
CONS
Illegal -DOT approved beadlocks are expensive and theirs like one manufacturer (MILITARY BEADLOCKS ARE STAMPED DOT BUT ON A CIVIE VOID-Mostly due to adjustment/0 Offset)
constant requirement to check the bolts and re-tightening
Def not our bolt pattern
Steelies (cheapest) are heavy SOB's
