Question Ambient temp sensor PLEASE HELP!!

Hi Folks, new here so any help would be greatly appreciated !!!

02 Dodge Durango, 2 wl dr 4.7, Just purchased it, fixed everything else but this stoopid sensor is driving me nuts !

Located the sensor, removed it and went to auto zone to get a new one. Installed it and have the same thing. The temp reading in the overhead is --F ??

Not trusting autozone and their parts, went to napa and got another one same thing !

Am I missing something here ?????

Thanks in advance for your help !

Push in and hold both overhead buttons to reset. See what happens then.

Welcome to the boards!

Are you talking about the temp sensor by the passenger side headlight, behind the grill, with 2 wires mounted with 1 bolt and is black in color?....If so a reset might help.

Whats wrong with Auto Zone??????

Hmmmm on the AZ parts.

Hold in the two over head buttons to reset the overhead display. This is the display that shows you the temperature/direction/and Ect. There are only 2 buttons and the display is located above the rear view mirror.

idk about you guys but my overhead display has at least 7 buttons (3 for garage openers and 4 to reset and cycle the display)

not this exact display/button configuration, but it has the same functions assigned to the buttons as mine
