Unhappy 4X4 not engaging

well i just want to say!

I'm new to this and owning a dodge vehicle. I love my 01 Durango R/T. However, i am having some issues. The main issue that is bothering me is the 4x4 hi and low are not engaging. I noticed that there is a little light above the AWD 4HI and 4L. I checked the fuse and the fuse is fine. I tried searching on the forum and could not find an issue or post relating to my issue.

So i hope im not beating a dead horse here but some help would be greatly appreciated. Im new to this and not sure how to use this site.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and if anybody has any input or ideas that would be great.

Thanks again,
Patrick

Could be a bad connection on the harness on the T-case. First check for voltage there.

well, just an update on the issue.

I took it to a mechanic and he checked the connection at the transfer case and didnt see anything wrong with it. The fuse is fine. so..... now it looks like it is the selection switch in the truck. somewhere between the switch and engine. getting closer to the issue i suppose , however, still frustrating!!!!!!!!!

If you have 10 volts at the harness during shift then the shift motor is gone.
