Cold Weather Starting
Now that the cold weather is here, the d is having some trouble starting. At first I thought it may be the starter. Now I'm unsure since it's going on two weeks now. When I first go to crank it, it does nothing at all. Second time, it starts to crank. Then on the third or fourth time, it'll turn over. Only seems to happen when the weather is under 50. I'm thinking it could be the battery on its way out. I checked the terminals and they are good. The ground is good also. Any ideas before i get the new battery ?!? Thanks
how old is your battery? if its 3 years or more old i would be wanting to replace that before winter anyway (average batter life in a car is 4 years, less for a truck)
but if you want to check all the electrical connections going to the starter including the starter relay and the terminals ont he starter motor itself

Duralast Gold Series is the best battery out there and best warranty at 3 year full replacement and 5 years pro-rated after that for a total warranty of 8 years! You can pick them up at Auto Zone for $84.99. You want the 750 CCA.
Take it to any of your local part stores and/or walmart and they can test it for you for free. This will let you know if it's really your battery or not, without having to spend the money to replace it and still not fix the problem.
