Smoke on the water...
Yepp, she's finally to the point of no return…
With this I'd like to tell you this isn't in any way Dodge/Chrysler issue, I'd say its more the Heater core manufacturer (life time warrantee my *** - Forgot my receipt) I just replaced the damn thing last year :wall:
Don't have much time, but luckily it shouldn't take too long…

I've honestly never saw a core act like this… Its hard to tell with the camera video but lets just say the smoke is equal to a electrical fire, but with the sweet scent of dismay...

that all depends on knowledge and if you've done it before.. Takes me under an hour to get everything apart and together due to me having previously removed my ac.
This pic should envoke some mechanic envy
30 minute core removal
4 10 mm nuts
4 10 mm bolts
2 12mm bolts
18 or so phillips heads
4 torx bolts
later

I've done heater cores in mustangs and Tbirds. I think they are just about the worst ever. I had an F150 the has a small access panel right behind the glovebox. That was super easy.
I've seen this reaction from a leaky core in the past. put a hot cup of coffee on your dashboard...same thing will happen. hot and wet makes glass fog....among other things.

Im aware of that already, but the odd thing is that its not steam, but vaporized coolant, quite weird.. Must be a small pinhole allowing it to spray onto itself. nothing like turning on your air and getting a fine mist of sweet/smelly coolant.
