I say no period!
MSDS lists this:
Components:
• Base Oil (synthetic) — Synthetic additives with iso-paraffinic diluents.
PS MSDS — Max ATF
Royal Purple is not on the approved manufacture list for the production of ATF+4 as I can see.
http://www.centerforqa.com/licensedatf4brands.html This means technically they can't produce the product because of copy right and further they are not tested to ensure the correct recipe. Futher, it is a Multi-Vehical formula that is not approve by many manufactures.
As I look up the product located here: http://www.royal-purple-industrial.c...dsi/matfi.html it simply states that it is "recommended" not "Certified" so they can do what they want with it. The other thing I see as a potential problem is the fact they do not list what the Oil Base is? Why are they hiding it? Most repitable companies don't hide their base stock information so I would concure that this product is made from Hydo-Processed Base Stock which is technically a Synthetic but with impurities as the Law provisions provide and not a Poly base in my opinion.
For the record, if you want to pay that kinda money for no "sure" product then go ahead but for me I'll stay with the approved list. I would use http://valvoline.com/products/brands...ssion-fluid/32 as it's approved and it's Hydrotreated Synthetic but at least they state it! I don't know of any ATF+4 thats Poly.
