Question 2000 Durango code P0441

receiving a check engine code p0441 "evaporative emission control system incorrect purge flow" message. Any ideas of what to check first or where the problem area is? Thanks.

I had the the same problem with my 2002 durango r/t.The check engine light was on and got code P0441 (EVAP purge flow monitor problem).I checked the rubber hoses under hood on drivers side (5/8 i think) and the hoses under truck in front of gas tank mine was the thick hose .The hoses get dry rot and in my case I was able to just cut the rot off and reattach the hose. The fuel vapors are leaking from dry rot and cannot all go up to engine to be burned. My check engine light was on and after fixing it after awhile of driving it went away and the code didn't come up anymore.hope this helps.

P0441 means the Engine computor actuates the purge solinoid and can't tell it's working. You want to make sure there is vacumn to the purge solinoid, make sure everything is connected correctly. Kinda hard to check the solinoid without a scan tool of some sort.
