I have a 98 and the front windows go down fine but the back windows do not. I have checked the fuse, nothing wrong there-not too sure what to do from here???![Icon Doh](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_doh.gif)
If I can narrow it down I might be able to order the part online or at least be able to tell them at the shop next time I'm in there to see if they can take a look at it for me.

I bought my 98 new. In about 2002, the passenger front window would go down intermittently. I took it to the dealer and it took a week to get it back. They replaced the front passenger drive motor along with the two rear motors. I never did get a straight story whether they caused the rear ones to go bad by shorting stuff out or were just looking out for me and found something wrong with them. The one they did put in the passenger side does go up and down slower than the drivers side. I was just glad to get it back and didn't bitch.

the passenger window IS slower than the driver-side window in the front
and i would check the switches both the master switch in the drivers door and the ones in the backdoors, for loose connections first, and then try to check teh switches for continuity, you might just need a new switch or two

How much do the switches cost for a 98? I took a look at the fuses and didn't see anything wrong in there.
And if someone has a crystal ball, what would you think it would cost to get this done? Thing is I just got this like a month ago I knew it had a few little flukes but figured they were fixable. Basically the AC doesn't work, possible leak, and the back windows as well.

I have a '98 SLT w/5.9 and all the windows except the drivers side have quit periodically. I've removed all the door panels and cleaned the window switch plug contacts with sandpaper and even lubricated the window tracks. I've even hooked up a battery charger straight to the window motor(s) to get it to move/loosen up. Cleaning the switches seems to cure the problem for a couple of months or so. Problem seems to be a current loss somewhere in the wiring. You could sometimes hear a click like the motor was trying to operate but there wasn't enough current to start it moving. Other than bypassing the switch plugs altogether, I'm not sure what a permanent fix it.

yup,(more specifically the lock button on the drive switch panel) if the driver switch is bad you dont get power to the rear windows, you could try jumping full 12v to the live end of the switch in one of the other 3 doors, but be careful not to hook it up wrong if your not sure dont try it
