Default catalytic converter

i just removed the cat on my 01 durango and it sounds really good almost like a cobra mustang it just sounds good..i am wondering if anyone else has done this and if so have they had any problems or anything..and can removing the cat cause any problems with the car.. thanks

It surely will cause your Check Engine light to come on sooner rather than later. Also it definitely wont help your emissions. Otherwise, no problem.

why would it cause the check engine light to come on faster?

all i know is that i filled up this sunday and i am still on a full tank that impressed me it, and it increased my hp by at least 10-15

Engine computer constantly monitors cat output by comparing upstream & downstream O2 sensor signals. Pretty soon CEL will be on. OK, so your HP has increased, but so have your emissions. You definitely won't pass any emissions tests now... although I assume it does not really matter to you.
