the passenger side headlight in my 01 durango stopped working so i got a new 1 and put it in. now when i turn my lights the high beams only come on. when i turn them to just regular lights they r way bright and the blue light on my dash turns on. when i switch the **** to high beams nothing changes. any 1 know what could b making this happen?

check for shorts in the wire harness, and check the multi-function switch (the stick that controls the highbeams and turn signals)
