O2 sensors driving me crazy
2000 Durango 5.9. Had the dealer replace the sensor before the cat and I replaced the one after the cat with a direct fit Bosch. Tried to clear the codes and get the light off with the computer but kept saying "operating error, check connections." So I did the manual reset with the negative battery terminal and putting the key in run for 15 seconds. Worked great for about 15 minutes then the light came back on. So both O2 sensors are new and still get codes P0132,P0141, P0138, and P0135. Also the truck likes to stall when temp gets to around 190. This is driving me nuts, anyone know what could be the issue. I have searched the forum, but both O2s are new so I have no idea what could be causing this. Thanks in advance if anyone can help.
I had a similiar problem and still having it now,,, its wierd but check out the power steering pressure switch mine was blowing back fluid over long time and shorting it out,,, pre cat sensor,,, i have changed 3 of them now and the last one worked fine until 3 or 4 weeks ago,,, lil under a year on it,,,, I get my from after market parts store not dealer cause money is an issue so that may be problem also... hope this helps
