alright thanks. Thats what I thought i just wanted me make sure i was right, but as off now I'm not going to change it because it started working like normal again the other day so ill wait for it to go bad again. I also was able to fix my hatch that didn't want to unlock. Turns out that the piece that slides allowing it to lock or unlock was so rusted that it didn't want to slide. Nothing a little sand paper and wd40 didn't fix.
I know this isnt the right thread for this but i figure its probably going to get me the fastest and best results. My fog lamps don't work. I have replaced the bulbs and still nothing. The light doesnt come on the dash but when i took a light tester to the socket they plug into the light tester came on even when the lights were off for both sockets. so i turned on the lights and put the bulbs back in and tested both of the little prongs on the light bulb and the light tester came on again. im complety lost on how to fix this anyhelp would be great.
Most likely your headlight switch. The reason you have power at the lights is because Chrysler designed it that way. The headlight switch controls the ground side of the circuit.
I had that exact issue when I bought my '99 (even the little indicator on the switch didn't come on) and I replaced the switch and all was well after that.. Still going strong.
