Exclamation Rattle.

Hey guys, i just installed a 2.5 pipe where my muffler use to be. about 2 days after i installed it which was 3 days ago theres a rattle in my front end now, but its only when im stoped or idoling in my driveway, it goes away when im driving. hope you guys can help cause its driving me nuts!! thanks

Uhhhh... check the pipe you installed??? Noise transfers.

Then put a muffler back on it.

nah man its not the pipe, its on the left hand side in the front the pipe is like in the mid part of the truck. thanks though.

The mid part is near the cat. My guess is without the muffler, you are getting a ton of vibration. Check the y-pipe tapping the frame just in front of the cat.

Then put a muffler back on

alright thanks, ill check it in the morning cause its like 9:40pm right now, and i dont have the muffler, its completely shot lol. but ill check it out, but the rattle isnt comming from where the cat is its on the other side of the truck, but ill crawl on under there and see what the deal is. thanks for the help!

you going to have to get under there and look for it, i would agree with indy looking at the muffler now being gone has something to do with it

yeah...... i needed an Oil change, so i did that, and still that damn clanking noise, i think a bolt or something snapped cause when i drive it goes away and then at idol it starts clanking again, i might drop in at my friends shop and see whats up i appreciate the help all you guys are telling me. thanks!

ive also heard things about heat sheilds breaking off, let me know what you guys think.
