Default 2000 R/T rear door panel removal

Yup, drivers side rear speaker is blown.

I saw all the stickies and door panel removal instructions.

My question is, Can you get to the speaker without removing the door handle linkage? Is there enough room to kind of swing the panel out of the way?

Just afraid I might not get it back together right....

its hard to put it together wrong, and if you try to swing it out you risk bending the linkage as you will not likely be able to get the screws which hold the speaker out with the panel in the way

If you unscrew the mounting screws then lift up you can get to it without further dis-assembly.

Panel seems pretty straight-forward. I'd take it off so there's more room to move.

Thanks for the replies. It was very easy, it just hooks on. So I took the whole panel off.

The speaker was just coming apart from the very edge, so I'm trying the Redneck Elmers white glue method that enther forum member had great luck with!

Here's to hoping I have the same results!
oh, and I wasn't planning on putting that protective screen thats covering the front of the speaker. Kind of ripped it. I assume its not really needed?
